STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) — “Alleviate Wellness,” is the first boutique CBD store in Stevens Point.
The shop is co-owned by Erica and Mitchell Craven. They said the purpose of the shop is to educate people about CBD and to provide beneficial health alternatives to the community.
“It’s not going to get you high,” said co-owner Erica Craven, “That’s what a lot of people who are leery of the products are afraid of is that they might feel high off of using it. That’s not the case. THC is what causes the psychoactive effect that marijuana is known for. At .3% it’s very unlikely that you would have a psychoactive effect using a CBD product.”
All of the products with THC at, “Alleviate Wellness,” contain up to a maximum of .3% which is the legal limit. Other products in the shop contain no THC. Products include bath salts, CBD oils, hemp leaves, hats, dog treats, and bath soaps.
“You should try CBD if you’re dealing with anxiety,” said Mitchell Craven, “You should try CBD if you’re dealing with inflammation that’s causing you pain.”
He also listed that CBD helps with other issues like, “depression, psoriasis, and your digestive system.”
The Cravens are welcoming everyone to their grand opening on the 26th, and they said they want everyone to feel comfortable with stopping by and asking any questions you may have about the products.
The new shop is currently open but set to make its grand opening on January 26th from 10 am to 6 pm. Special discounts will be offered, as well as two free CBD educational seminars at 2 pm and 4 pm.
